After a long wait in the Queue we got the tickets for the cruise and was waiting for the cruise to arrive, just when the rain started to pour in. After we boarded the cruise the rain luckily stopped, making the weather pleasant and perfect. The one hour cruise takes you through the heritage route through the River Seine, passing through the Pont Alexandre III bridge, Les Invalides , Musée d'Orsay, the Île de la Cité islands on the river Seine, Pont des Arts bridge, Hôtel de Ville, Conciergerie and Institut de France. The tour started from the Eiffel towards the Île de la Cité islands and then a turn back to Eiffel. The rainbow greeted our voyage adding the natural beauty to the architectural splendor of Paris.

After a wonderful cruise experience we rushed towards the 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall Eiffel tower which was yet to light up. Seeing the prolonged queue, held our eagerness and it was already 6pm. After waiting for about an hour we finally reached the ticket counter, meanwhile the clock ticked 7pm and the tower started to twinkle. The tower twinkles for 5mins every start of the hour from 7pm. The entry is of two levels, one till the summit (14 €) and other to the second level (8 €). We took the ticket for the summit. Even after getting access inside the tower the waiting never ended for the queues for lifts and stairs. It took us about 30 mins to reach the second level, where the lift took only about 5mins rest was waiting for the lifts in queue. The view from here was mesmerizing, giving a treat for the eyes. One can spot the popular structures from here including the Arc de Triomphe, Petit Palais and the Grand Palais. We then started towards the summit and underway waiting in one more queue for lift, after about 30mins we were about 273m above the ground level, the summit. The experience could only be felt and can’t describe through words. Spent about 15mins here and spotted few popular structures through my lens and decided to get back down to witness the 9pm sparkling as it was already 8.30pm. Again we ended up in waiting to reach the bottom and to our luck we reached the bottom exactly at 9pm and had the amazing view of the Eiffel tower twinkling.

The total time taken for us to reach the summit and back to ground was about 3 hours and the time we could actually spend over there was only about 20mins, this waiting for more than 150mins was most tiring. But the wait for worth. We were exhausted and decided to get back to the hotel.

The next day we had planned around the Louvre and Notre dame.
